Tropical Storm Ramil (international name: Fengshen) continues to move away from the country’s landmass and is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Monday morning, Oct. 20, PAGASA said.
The center of the storm was last spotted 155 kilometers west-northwest of Iba, Zambales, or 175 kilometers west of Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
Ramil is expected to continue moving west-northwestward over the West Philippine Sea until it exits the PAR.

PAGASA said “Ramil” moved over the West Philippine Sea on Sunday, Oct. 19, after crossing Luzon, with its center 85 km west-northwest of Iba, Zambales as of 5 p.m.
It had maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and gusts up to 80 kph, moving west-northwest at 35 kph.
“Ramil” is forecast to continue west-northwestward, exit the PAR by Monday morning, Oct. 20, and may re-intensify over the West Philippine Sea to a severe tropical storm.

Tropical Storm Ramil (international name: Fengshen) has moved over Manila Bay but is expected to continue bringing heavy rain and strong winds over Metro Manila and parts of Central Luzon.
The storm was moving west-northwestward at 15 kph with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
On its forecast track, Ramil is expected to continue moving west-northwestward or northwestward as it traverses the Central Luzon landmass before emerging over the coastal waters of Zambales or Pangasinan in the afternoon.
PAGASA said it is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Monday morning, Oct. 20.

PAGASA said the center of the eye of Ramil was located over the coastal waters of Alabat, Quezon, moving west-northwestward at 25 kilometers per hour.
Ramil is expected to continue moving west-northwestward or northwestward and make landfall over Quezon province this morning.
After landfall, it will cross the Southern-Central Luzon landmass before emerging over the coastal waters of Pangasinan or Zambales by afternoon or evening.
It will then continue moving generally northwestward until it exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Monday morning or noon, Oct. 20.

Tropical Storm Ramil maintained its strength while crossing mainland Bicol late Saturday, October 18, packing maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h and gusts up to 110 km/h, as it moved northwest at 25 km/h.
Signal No. 2 was raised over more areas in Luzon and Visayas, including parts of Isabela, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Quezon, Bicol Region, and Northern Samar, while Signal No. 1 remained over surrounding provinces.
PAGASA warned of heavy rains, strong winds, storm surges, and rough seas, with a 1- to 2-meter storm surge possible along eastern and northern coastal areas and sea travel deemed risky due to waves up to 4.5 meters.
"Ramil" is forecast to emerge near the Polillo Islands early Sunday and possibly make landfall over Aurora, before crossing Northern Luzon and exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Monday, October 20, with potential re-intensification over the West Philippine Sea.

Tropical Storm Ramil maintained its strength as it moved west-northwestward across mainland Bicol on Saturday evening, Oct. 18, per PAGASA.

PAGASA said “Ramil” is moving west-northwestward at 15 km/h and could make landfall or pass close to Catanduanes on October 18 before heading toward Camarines Norte, Polillo Islands, and possibly Aurora or Isabela.
Signal No. 2 is in effect over Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, parts of Camarines Sur, and Polillo Islands, while Signal No. 1 is up in wide areas of Luzon and parts of Samar provinces in the Visayas.
PAGASA said TS Ramil’s outer rainbands and enhanced easterlies will bring heavy rainfall and strong winds over Cagayan Valley, Calabarzon, Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, and other areas, prompting warnings for flash floods and landslides.
Storm surges of 1–2 meters and very rough seas (up to 4.5 meters) are expected along eastern seaboards of Luzon, making sea travel risky for all types of vessels, PAGASA said.

The center of Tropical Depression Ramil was estimated at 640 kilometers east of Juban, Sorsogon. It was moving west-southwestward at 25 kilometers per hour.
PAGASA said Ramil may move generally westward within the next 24 hours before turning west-northwestward toward Central-Southern Luzon area.
It is still expected to make its first landfall over Catanduanes on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 18, then move west-northwestward and pass close to or over mainland Bicol Region in the evening.
Ramil may make another landfall over Aurora or Quezon on Sunday morning, Oct. 19, before crossing the rugged terrain of Northern or Central Luzon.
It will emerge over the West Philippine Sea by Sunday afternoon or evening and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Monday morning or afternoon, Oct. 20.

PAGASA said Ramil is projected to continue moving westward before turning west-northwestward.
It could make its first landfall over Catanduanes on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 18, and another landfall over northern Quezon or southern Aurora by Saturday evening or Sunday morning, Oct. 19, before crossing the southern portion of Luzon and the rest of Central Luzon throughout the day.
As of 10 a.m., the center of Ramil was estimated 760 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes, packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.

The center of Tropical Depression Ramil was estimated at 1,145 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon.
PAGASA said Ramil may approach Catanduanes by Saturday morning or afternoon, Oct. 18, and may make landfall over Aurora or Quezon by Sunday, Oct. 19, before crossing Northern and Central Luzon.
However, the agency said a possible southward shift in its track could bring the landfall area closer to the eastern section of Southern Luzon or the Samar provinces.

Ramil is the 18th tropical cyclone to form inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility this year and the third this month, following Paolo and Quedan.
