2 women fatally struck, run over by 2 cars in Batangas
CITY OF SANTO TOMAS, Batangas – Two women died after they were struck and run over by two vehicles while crossing the Maharlika Highway in Barangay San Miguel here before dawn on Monday, Dec. 5.
Police identified the victims as Nerissa Tan, 60, and Genelyn Peñaroyo, 51, both of Santa Cruz, Marinduque.
Investigation showed the victims were crossing the highway after alighting from their service vehicle when they were bumped and dragged by a Hyundai van with license plates CTY-587 driven by Noli Rojero, 29, a resident of this city.
