MB Daily News Update: 2nd presidential debate held; but where was Marcos?

From the cause of corruption to political dynasties, turncoatism, and foreign policy, the second presidential debate organized by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) was held Sunday night, April 3, 2022.

And while his nine rivals for the presidency were at the Sofitel Tent in Pasay City for the debate, survey frontrunner former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. was reportedly at his campaign headquarters in Mandaluyong City, meeting with nine governors and a congressman who have thrown their support behind his candidacy.

Meanwhile, some Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) officials said the heirs of former president Ferdinand Marcos cannot be compelled to pay the P203-billion estate tax that the family reportedly owes the government.
