"Election fever" is about to take over in the country as candidates prepare to file their respective certificates of candidacy (COCs) tomorrow, Oct. 1.
Senator and now, retired boxer Manny Pacquiao says he will file his COC for the presidency on the first day of filing, but his potential rivals for the Palace seat can't be too far behind.
Speaking of his potential rivals, opposition force 1Sambayan has endorsed Vice President Leni Robredo as its presidential candidate in the upcoming May 2022 elections. Robredo, however, has yet to declare her intention to run for the post.
Presidential aspirant and Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso bared that he will file his COC on Oct. 4 along with his running mate, Doc Willie Ong.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health (DOH) told the poll hopefuls not to forget minimum public health standards (MPHS) in the filing of their COCs as the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) remains a huge threat to everyone's health.
