World Teacher's Day gift: San Juan public school teachers to receive P3,000


Five days before the celebration of World Teacher's Day on October 5, the San Juan City local government is set to distribute cash assistance to all public school teachers in the city on Thursday, Sept. 30.

In a Facebook post, San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora posted a photo of the local government's preparation for the payout of the cash assistance.

"All set for our P3,000 financial assistance for all San Juan public school teachers. Thank you very much for educating our San Juaneño youth as we all face this COVID-19 pandemic head on. Advance World Teacher's Day to all of you! We truly appreciate your dedication and service!," Zamora said in his post.

On September 27, the local government has distributed the P3,000 cash assistance to various non-medical frontliners and Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) drivers and operators in its bid to help them amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

On September 13, the LGU also distributed P3,000 cash assistance to around 1,000 barangay workers from 21 barangays in the city.

Zamora also said that that the LGU previously gave financial assistance to the city’s medical frontliners and city hall employees. Medical frontliners working in San Juan were given P5,000 cash while city hall employees received P3,000.
