Bulacan opens first 'Paw Parks' for pets, fur parents


The first pet-friendly "Paw Park" opened in the province of Bulacan on Wednesday, Sept. 29, in time for the celebration of World Animal Day.

Fur parents in Bulacan can now take their dogs to a fun and active play place as the Paw Park features obstacle courses and agility training equipment, where pets can learn tricks, do exercises, or simply socialize with other dogs.
The indoor Paw Park of SM City Marilao is located on the 2nd floor, while the Paw Parks of SM Baliuag and SM Pulilan Center are on the ground floor, and are open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The parks also have basic amenities like waste bins and benches as well as a dog walk, weave poles, open tunnel, pause table, hurdle, and hoops, among other training equipment.
Paw park rules are posted for reference right at the park entrance and on SM City Marilao, Baliwag, and Pulilan’s websites.

Dogs in heat, sick dogs, aggressive dogs, and puppies under four months are prohibited to enter the park. Owners are also requested to clean up and look after their own pets both in and out of the Paw Park.

A maximum of 20 pet owners and two pets per owner are allowed at a time inside the Paw Park.
