MB Daily News Update: BBM gets PDP-Laban wing’s nod

The candidacy of survey frontrunner Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. got a huge boost when the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) wing that is being backed by President Duterte endorsed his presidential bid.

But Malacanang said it wasn’t really clear if the popular President Duterte would personally endorse Marcos.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. explains why the Philippines’ Covid-19 case rate remains low despite a global spike in infections, while the Manila Bulletin has a special Women’s Month feature on Department of Health (DOH) spokesperson Dr. Rosario Vergeire.

Malacanang reported that the Philippines has emerged as the second happiest country in southeast Asia, next only to Singapore, and 60th out of 146 countries worldwide.

These are among the most interesting stories this Tuesday afternoon, March 22, 2022.
