Monsod was arrested in a manhunt operation conducted by the Taguig police’s Warrant and Subpoena Unit and intelligence operatives on Gen. Luna Street in Barangay Tuktukan, Taguig.

According to the Taguig police, Monsod is the top 19 most wanted person for the first quarter of 2022 in Taguig with a pending warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 10883 (New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016) issued by Judge Mariam Gunzon Bien of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 153 issued on Dec. 1, 2021.

The police also accused Monsod of being a member of the Sta. Ana Carnapping Group which operates in Taguig and nearby cities.

Monsod is detained at the Taguig Custodial Facility pending the issuance of a commitment order from the court.

“I congratulate our police for their dedication which resulted in the arrest of those wanted under the law,” said Macaraeg.
