Muntinlupa City Council honors ex-councilor killed in Palawan plane crash
The Muntinlupa City Council approved a resolution honoring the late former Councilor Allan Rey Camilon who was killed in a plane crash in Coron, Palawan, on Maundy Thursday, April 2. He was 49.
Majority Floor Leader Raul Corro said the resolution was adopted during the City Council’s 39th regular session on April 6.
The city council also adopted a resolution providing financial assistance to the Camilon family.
Allan Rey’s wife, Amanda Camilon, is currently a councilor in Muntinlupa. They have three children.
Based on the resolution, Camilon was elected and served as councilor for six terms from 2001 to 2010 and from 2016 to 2025.
Before this, he was elected Sangguniang Kabataan chairman of Barangay Poblacion, Muntinlupa, in 1996 and became SK president and ex-officio councilor until 2001.
Corro announced that a “Luksang Parangal” or necrological services will be held for Camilon at the People’s Center lobby of the Muntinlupa City Hall at 1 p.m. on April 13.
After the program, a public viewing will be held until April 14.
Amanda Camilon announced on April 4 that they were processing the transport of her husband's remains from Palawan to Muntinlupa.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon earlier expressed condolences to Camilon’s family.
