Remains of ex-Muntinlupa councilor await transport after Palawan plane crash
The wife of a former Muntinlupa councilor who died in a plane crash in Palawan during Holy Week said preparations are underway for the transport of his remains.
Former councilor Allan Rey Camilon and another pilot, Joseph Jiao, were killed when their plane crashed in Barangay Decalacho, Coron, Palawan on April 2. It was headed to Sangley Airport. Camilon was 49.
Current Muntinlupa Councilor Amanda Camilon, Allan Rey’s wife, gave an update for those inquiring about the wake.
“From our family, nagapapasalamat po kami sa lahat ng mga nakidalamhati (From our family, we thank all those who mourned). Many have asked when the wake will be. Presently, we are in the process of transporting the remains of Allan, as well as awaiting the arrival of some of his family members. We are looking at the end of this coming week,” she posted on April 4.
She added, “We will keep you all posted. Alam namin maraming nagmamahal kay Allan and would like to pay their respects (We know many people love Allan and would like to pay their respects). Please keep us in your prayers. God bless po.”
Born in 1976, Camilon served as Sangguniang Kabataan chairman and councilor for many terms.
He graduated with a degree in Management major in Marketing from the San Beda College of Alabang.
Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon and other city officials mourned his passing.
