Deadline for Roblox to address child safety issues has been cut to 15 days
Predators exist inside the community of Roblox, targeting children to be groomed and exploited.
Indeed, it is a user-generated problem, and Roblox appears to not be doing enough to protect its players. Therefore, for the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) and the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), it is either, Roblox should update their child safety guardrails or face suspension.
There was already one known incident with seven minors. We've also written an article about other countries, especially multiple states in the US, having issues with Roblox, going as far in calling the supposed children's game, a playground for predators.
That is the main reason for the potential suspension of the game.
Local telcos have confirmed they are ready to block Roblox by the end of the deadline.
The use of VPN is indeed an option. However, as we've stated before, a good service from a VPN would require a subscription. Something children won't easily have access to. It would still keep children off the platform. Free VPNs won't be able to provide reliable speeds.
It is recommended for parents to remind children of the dangers of online platforms and never share personal information or trust strangers they meet.
