Palace on Duterte's tirades vs Marcos: No comment

MalacaÃ±ang refused to make a comment on the recent tirades thrown by former president Rodrigo Duterte against President Marcos.

"No comment here," Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cesar Chavez said on Friday, Feb. 14, referring to all the remarks made by the former president against the Marcos administration.

During a proclamation rally of Partido ng Demokratiko Pilipinoo (PDP)-Laban's senatorial candidates in San Juan City on Thursday evening, Feb. 13, Duterte said the Marcos' government has fallen short, especially in addressing the country's food crisis.

Duterte particularly highlighted the current administration's shortcomings in addressing the rising prices of goods.

In his speech, the former president has once again alleged his successor of using illegal drugs.

The Palace also did not comment on this.

Duterte's tirades came after Marcos took a jab at the Duterte administration while endorsing the administration's senatorial slate.

Both in Laoag City and Iloilo City, Marcos endorsed his senatorial bets by saying that no one from them has blood in their hands due to the deadly drug war during Duterte's term.

For two consecutive proclamation rallies now, Marcos rallied the people to reflect whether they want to go back to the horrifying times in the country or move forward to a better future.
