President Marcos has asked the people what path to take this elections—is it by voting for candidates who would take the nation back to the horrible times or to a brighter future?

Although Marcos delivered a similarly written speech from the Laoag leg of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas' proclamation rally, the President left the people of Iloilo City something new to reflect on during the campaign period for the 2025 polls.

He said it is not true that the midterm elections in the Philippines is not as important as the presidential elections.

This is the time that the people need to choose officials who would guide and lead the nation.

Many are saying that the midterm elections is not important because there will be no changes in the presidency. And the remaining senators will not be replaced)," Marcos said in his speech at the Alyansa's first rally in the Visayas Region.

Well, perhaps in other elections, it could be right but not in the midterm elections because your vote will serve as a guide to who will lead the country)," Marcos stressed.

So, he asked the people of Visayas what choice they must make in this elections. In yet another hit at his predecessor, he asked the people "should we go back to the past where our country is being sold off as a gambling pot for foreigners? Must we go back to times when our streets are filled with blood from innocent children taken away from their homes and mothers, their future being snatched?"

Shall we choose to go back to those terrifying times or move to a future that is bright, peaceful, and better for all Filipinos)?," Marcos went on.

The President also rallied the people not to choose based on popularity, or go with the rich.

As he endorsed the administration-backed Senate slate, composed of former public officials who have held local and national positions in the past, Marcos told the Filipino voters to vote with their future in mind.
