Young Won Asian Grill, a dining concept that blends traditional Asian cuisines with a modern twist, officially opened its doors to the public on July 16, 2024.

Cooked up by Raymund Magdaluyo and his group of entrepreneurs behind Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, Red Crab, and others, the restaurant redefines traditional Asian cuisine with a modern twist.

In addition to the usual Korean barbecue unlimited-style grilling of premium meats, Young Won also offers a solo hotpot experience. Drinks, a lively ambiance, and daily live bands complete the dining experience, which Magdaluyo shares is aimed at the Gen Z and young-at-heart customers.

Unlimited dining costs P899 per head for Tier 1 and P1,199 for Tier 2. Tier 2 includes all Tier 1 options plus premium items like steak, shrimp, and lobster. Prices also cover solo hot pot options with six broths: Kimchi, Mushroom Collagen, Thai Suki, Thai Yentafo, Mala, and Miso Nabe.

The restaurant's name, "Young Won," holds deep cultural and linguistic significance, drawing inspiration from Korean, Chinese, and English languages to reflect its commitment to timeless quality and endless enjoyment, according to the owners.

"Our name, 'Young Won,' encompasses a rich blend of cultural and linguistic meanings. In Korean, '영원히' (Youngwonil) translates to 'forever,' "'nfinite,' and 'endless,' embodying our dedication to delivering timeless quality and enduring enjoyment," they said. "From Chinese, '阳湾' (Yang Wan) translates to 'Sunshine Bay,' evoking warmth, hospitality, and the radiant experience we aim to provide. Additionally, in English, 'Young one"'captures the vibrant and dynamic spirit of Millennials and Gen Z, reflecting our commitment to catering to these generations. Together, 'Young Won' signifies a fusion of these influences, promising a culinary experience that combines tradition with modernity and welcomes all with warmth and innovation."
