Celebrate Bastille Day this July with a culinary journey at Mirèio

Mirèio's chef de cuisine, Laurence Garduce, has crafted a special four-course set menu inspired by France's rich culinary heritage

Raffles Makati's award-winning restaurant, Mirèio, is celebrating the spirit of French gastronomy this July. Throughout the month, they will offer a specially curated menu that takes diners on an exploration of French flavors.

Mirèio's chef de cuisine, Laurence Garduce, has crafted a special four-course set menu inspired by France's rich culinary heritage. This menu is priced at P5,500++.

Mirèio invited the media for a preview of the Bastille Day offerings. It was a simple menu, a refreshing change from the multi-course (sometimes more than 10 courses!) menus offered by many establishments lately. The appetizer was salade de chèvre chaud — warm goat cheese, hazelnut, mesclun, and classic vinaigrette. The dish was tangy and savory, a good start to whet one's appetite for the rest of the meal.

Next was the soupe de poisson — a traditional Provençal fish soup served with toasted baguette, rouille, and grated parmigiano.

For the main course, we tried the melt-in-your-mouth black angus fillet mignon with truffle-infused mashed potatoes. It was also served with grilled vegetables and a creamy green peppercorn sauce. The dish was flavorful, exceptionally tender, and excellently cooked by the Mirèio staff.

Ending the meal on a sweet note, we indulged in the pistachio crème brûlée, a creamy custard with a satisfyingly caramelized sugar crust.

The experience was further elevated with a rosé.

A Lavish Bastille Day Brunch

Mirèio will also be hosting a special celebratory brunch on Bastille Day—the French national day, which falls on Sunday, July 14, 2024.

The famed Mirèio Sunday brunch will be transformed to highlight the rich tapestry of French cuisine. For P4,800++, diners will have access to a wide variety of French dishes. The brunch will also feature carving and live stations and a diverse selection of hors d'oeuvres.

To complete the celebratory atmosphere, the brunch includes top-of-the-line wines and specially crafted cocktails.
