DOST recovering from a significant cyberattack — Solidum
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) said it is recovering from the recent hacking incident.

Currently, Solidum underscored that DOST is “still looking at what really happened.”
He explained that the full extent of the damage will be known only after the investigation concludes.
“At malalaman lang nating ito kung gaano… once na matapos na yung investigation. (We will only know how much (damage it cost, once the investigation is over),” he said.
“But it did not affect the operation of DOST at all,” Solidum added.
The hack was carried out by a hacktivist group known as #opEDSA. It said that the attackers systematically exposed critical weaknesses in DOST's digital infrastructure that raised serious concerns about the country's overall cybersecurity posture.
