Tiong Bahru Bakery (TBB), an artisanal French bakery from Singapore, has opened its first international location in Bonifacio Global City (BGC). The bakery, which has earned a strong reputation in Singapore since its founding in 2012, is known for its high-quality croissants and viennoiseries, crafted using traditional French techniques and premium ingredients.

The BGC branch offers both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing customers to enjoy their pastries while observing the bakers through a glass window. The space is designed to provide a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for both casual and work meetings.

The bakery’s menu centers on several key items, starting with the croissant. Golden and flaky on the outside, the croissant features a rich, buttery taste. Baked fresh every two hours, it maintains a perfect balance of crispness and softness that has made it a staple in the bakery’s offerings.

Another highlight is the kouign amann, a pastry that stands out for its layers of caramelized, buttery dough. The process of slow-baking and the addition of sugar give the pastry its signature crunch and deep flavor, making it a popular choice.

For chocolate lovers, the pain au chocolat is a simple yet satisfying option. With layers of buttery dough surrounding dark chocolate, this pastry offers a straightforward, indulgent experience. The rich filling contrasts with the lightness of the dough, making it a balanced treat.

For a brighter option, the lemon tart provides a contrast of flavors. The tart’s lemon curd filling delivers a tangy kick, balanced by the sweetness of the sugar dough crust. The fresh lemon zest adds a subtle layer of flavor that enhances the citrus profile without overwhelming it.

TBB also serves freshly brewed coffee, sourced from Common Man Coffee Roasters. The bakery’s signature blend has a smooth profile with notes of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and cherries, which pairs well with espresso drinks. The hojicha latte, made with roasted green tea, offers a nutty alternative for those seeking a different flavor.

Beyond its signature pastries, TBB also offers a range of artisanal breads, savory dishes, and other baked goods to suit different cravings throughout the day. With a focus on quality ingredients and classic French techniques, the bakery branch provides a relaxed spot for locals to enjoy a quick snack or linger over a meal.
