At a glance
In preparation for the phased introduction of the revised curriculum next school year, the Department of Education (DepEd) initiated a pilot run of the MATATAG K to 10 Curriculum in 35 schools nationwide on Monday, Sept. 25.
Based on the initial assessment of DepEd Curriculum and Teaching (CT) Strand Undersecretary Gina Gonong, the first day of the MATATAG pilot run went smoothly.
"Maganda (Good)," Gonong stated as part of her initial assessment on the first day of the MATATAG pilot run. She added that "teachers are prepared and ready to deliver the curriculum."
Gonong also noted that schools were well-prepared for the pilot run of the revised curriculum, attributing the smooth start to the supportive role played by local government units (LGUs).
