DOH welcomes appointment of Herbosa as health chief


The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday, June 5, welcomed the appointment of Dr. Teodoro "Ted" Herbosa as the country's health chief.

In a statement issued Monday evening, DOH said they are committing to provide an all-out support during this transition.

"Maaasahan po ng ating bagong kalihim ang taos pusong suporta ng buong DOH family (Our new secretary can count on the wholehearted support of the entire DOH family)," said Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire.

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Monday afternoon formally appointed Dr. Teodoro "Ted" Herbosa as the secretary of DOH.

Herbosa previously served as the Undersecretary of the department from 2010 to 2015. Apart from this, he also assumed the role of a Special Adviser to the National Task Force against Covid-19 amid the pandemic.
