In its weather forecast, PAGASA said the easterlies are affecting the country.

PAGASA said the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the Bicol Region, and Eastern Visayas.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are also expected in the rest of the country due to the easterlies.

Meanwhile, PAGASA noted that the northeasterly wind flow will bring cloudy skies and rain to the Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms or periods of heavy rains.
