IN PHOTOS: A sneak peek of Casa de Memoria's 'Segundo Auction'
The auction will bring a mix of modern and traditional holiday vibes to art and antique enthusiasts
The auction house Casa de Memoria recently welcomed the media for a preview of its highly anticipated "Segundo Auction," showcasing a collection of rare and enduring treasures tailored for discerning Filipino customers.

Manila Bulletin had the privilege of attending the preview, where we encountered a diverse assortment of intriguing items, including antique silverware, exquisite jewelry, rare artworks, and a variety of cherished family heirlooms.

Set for tomorrow, Nov. 18, 2023, at the iconic Palacio de Memoria in Pasay City, the "Segundo Auction" serves as a tribute to the rich history and culture that defines the historic venue.

We encountered items that are ideal for the holiday season. Indeed, the majority of the pieces we observed were small, "bite-sized" collectible items, with prices that are not overly extravagant.

These included ivory "diptychs" (an artwork or relief carving created in two segments, typically connected by hinges), puzzles, porcelain animals, vases, and more.

Each piece in the collection has been carefully chosen to embody the enduring spirit of the holiday season while staying relevant to today's audience. Casa de Memoria also possesses a unique European flair, distinguishing it from other auction houses in the Philippines.

Casa de Memoria invites collectors and auction enthusiast at the Palacio de Memoria on Nov. 18, 2023.
