Brazil's Fogo de Chão restaurant is set to open first store in the Philippines

The restaurant is known for its churrasco dining experience

After bringing Los Angeles’ iconic Randy’s Donuts to the Philippines this year, The Bistro Group, one of the country’s biggest restaurant chains, is now planning to introduce Filipinos to Brazilian cuisine with the coming of Fogo de Chão restaurant.

Established in Southern Brazil in 1979, Fogo de Chão is known for its churrasco dining experience, where "gaucho chefs butcher, prepare, and grill high-quality cuts of protein over an open flame, then carve tableside for guests." Now headquartered in the U.S., the restaurant has over 66 branches in Brazil, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the US, the Middle East, and soon in the Philippines, making its first-ever presence in Asia.

The Bistro Group plans to launch five Fogo de Chão locations in the Philippines over the next six years, with its first store expected to open in 2023.
