VIRAL: After Jungkook mispronounces Chipotle, resto rebrands to Chicotle on Twitter
By John Legaspi
There is no denying how great South Korean boy band BTS’ influence is. They were even tapped by the United Nations to spread good in the world. But their latest viral content on social media takes the cake for just being downright hilarious.
A video uploaded on BangtanTV Youtube channel presents the K-pop superstars enjoying their first taste of meals from the American food chain Chipotle. Loving it so much is band member Jungkook saying, “What is this, Chicotle? I want to eat this every day.” His mispronouncing the brand's name made the video go viral, and in some funny turn of events, the fast-food restaurant adopted it and changes its name and handle on Twitter to Chicotle.

One user responded, “If Jungkook said it's Chicotle then it's Chicotle (crying emojis) that's it.” Another tweeted, “Not Jungkook making them change their whole name his impact.”

A story by PR Week confirms that Jungkook mispronouncing its name is “authentic and not sponsored.”
Last year, the boy band held a four-day concert series, “BTS Permission to Dance On Stage LA” in California, USA. By the end of their live-performance concert, they announced that the venue of their next concert will be in Seoul, South Korea in March 2022.
