Former Manila 3rd district Rep. Ma. Zenaida Angping has been appointed to lead the Presidential Management Staff (PMS) in the Cabinet of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

“She comes with the professional experience in the fields of public service and administration and international relations and diplomacy,” incoming Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Chief Trixie Cruz-Angeles said on Monday, May 30 during a presscon at the BBM headquarters.
“She is a three-term congresswoman who advocated legislative measures that promoted diplomatic relations, tourism, development, public health, education, and women and children’s welfare,” she continued.
The PMS chief pick served in the House of Representatives for three terms from 2007 to 2016, which covered the 14th, 15th, and 16th Congresses.
“She institutionalized necessary infrastructure that promoted sustainable self-reliance and empowerment especially of the marginalized sector in the 3rd district of Manila,” Cruz-Angeles further said of Angping.
Angping was also previously named as a member of Marcos’s transition team alongside fellow Cabinet appointees Anton Lagdameo, incoming Special Assistant to the President (SAP); and Benhur Abalos, the incoming Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) secretary.

The PMS is a government agency attached to Malacañang that assists with the management and development of the president’s policies. It operates under the supervision of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President.
