The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has started upgrading its information technology and communications (ICT) systems to improve and speed up its workflow.

In a statement, BuCor said the first phase of the ICT Software 2021 project has already begun and “will run for five (5) months, from the 17th of January to the 17th of June 2022.”

“The offices that will be served by the project will see an improvement in efficiency, performance, and timely delivery of services to their clients as a result of the aforementioned innovations,” it said.

“Through the strong leadership and commitment of our excellent Director General Gerald Q. Bantag, and the firm supervision of CSupt. Francisco G. Salvador Jr. as chief of ICT Division, the BuCor Administration has continued to focus on computerization project as ICTD's battle cry will remain to be ‘Serve Those Who Serve,’” it added.
