Dullavin and three corrections officers of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) suffered gunshot wounds when they were fired at by the escapees, according to the Muntinlupa police. They were rushed to the Ospital ng Muntinlupa for treatment.

The three wounded BuCor personnel were identified as Corrections Senior Officer 1 Angelito Marquez, 57; Corrections Officer 1 Mark Joseph Persons, 29; and Corrections Officer 1 Jancy Dagamas (not Dagonas as earlier identified), 26.

Last Jan. 17, the Muntinlupa police reported that three prisoners escaped from the NBP maximum security camp at about 1 a.m.

The escapees were identified as Pacifico Adlawan, 49, who was serving his sentence for frustrated homicide, attempted homicide and drug use; Arwin Bio, 35, who was convicted of murder and attempted murder; and Drakilou Falcon, 34, who is serving sentence for robbery with homicide and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

They escaped by sawing off the metal bars of their dormitory cell window. As they were escaping, they fired at corrections officers at NBP Gates 4 and 3, and fled towards Sitio Magdaong inside the NBP Reservation.

On Jan. 18, the police and BuCor said another prisoner, identified as Chris Ablas, escaped, becoming the fourth convict to flee NBP.

Ablas is serving his sentence of reclusion perpetua without parole for robbery with homicide at the NBP.

The BuCor earlier said Ablas “was reported missing up to present with possibility as the 4th and unidentified escapee who was involved in the prison escape incident yesterday on 17 Jan 2022.”

Elements from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and BuCor conducted manhunt operations inside the NBP Reservation to capture the escapees.

Two escapees, Adlawan and Bio, were killed during a gunfight with authorities on Jan. 17.

Adlawan was killed in the Magdaong area of the NBP Reservation while Bio died during an encounter with authorities along the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX).

Authorities are conducting operations to arrest Falcon and Ablas. BuCor earlier offered a P100,000 reward to anyone who can provide information on the location of Falcon.
