Believed to show the pulse of the voting public, survey results also indicate the mood of the time period when it is taken. For others, survey results are used to boost support for specific candidates, or to attract the undecided to hop on the train of the perceived winning team. Well, for the undecided, there will be many hops to go as survey results will show the different moods of the voting public.
Manila Bulletin has gathered the surveys that have made it to the news weeks before the filing of the Certificate of Candidacy to officially start one’s campaign up to the time this story is posted.
Survey groups
There are several organizations conducting surveys on voters’ preferences for candidates, especially for President. This report includes surveys conducted by the following: Pulse Asia Research Inc., Pulso ng Pilipino, Pulso ng Pilipino, P-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD), Pulso ni PSU (Pangasinan State University), Social Weather Stations (SWS), Kalye Survey in Cebu, Publicus Asia Inc., and Manila Bulletin online polls.

Sept. 29 —Pulse Asia survey results
Still days before the start of the filing of COC with the Commission on Elections (C0MELEC), Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte was strongly rumored to run for President.
Pulse Asia found 20 percent of Filipinos expressing support for the possible presidential bid of Duterte in the 2022 national and local elections.
Other possible candidates then who were included in the survey were former Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. who got 15 percent, Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso, 13 percent, Senator Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao, 12 percent, Senator Grace Poe, 9 percent, Vice President Leni Robredo, 8 percent, and Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson, 6 percent.
The non-commissioned Pulse Asia Survey polled 2,400 people from Sept.6 to 11 to determine their presidential bets. On Sept. 29, the results were released.

Oct. 18 —Manila Bulletin online survey
Manila Bulletin conducted an online survey in its website from Oct. 15 to 17. Results were revealed on Oct. 18.
Robredo received 41.8 percent of the vote on the website survey, slightly higher than Marcos' 41.3 percent. Lacson came in third with 8.8 percent, followed by Domagoso with 4.6 percent, and Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa with 2.5 percent.
In the MB Facebook survey, Marcos gathered 73 percent of the participants, Robredo got 24 percent, followed by Domagoso, Dela Rosa, Pacquiao, and Lacson in a Facebook poll that received over 800,000 responses.
From MB Twitter poll, Robredo led with 45.8 percent, followed by Marcos with 41.2 percent. Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson had 8.8 percent, and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso had 4.6 percent. Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa took 2.5 percent.

Oct. 26 — Pulso ng Pilipino survey results
Pulso ng Pilipino, on the other hand, conducted the survey from Sept. 27 to Oct. 8, the last day for candidates to file their candidacy. The results were released in late October.
The Issues and Advocacy Center (The CENTER) facilitated the non-commissioned survey. Marcos took first place with 23.5 percent of the vote from the 2,400 respondents, followed by Pacquiao with 19.75 percent and Domagoso with 18 percent.
Robredo came in fourth with 14 percent, followed by Lacson with 12.50 percent, Dela Rosa with 7.75 percent, Ka Leodegario de Guzman with 3.25 percent, and former National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales with 1.25 percent.

Oct. 31 —Kalye Surveys in Mindanao
According to a series of Kalye surveys done by numerous vloggers in Mindanao, Marcos came out on top.
The polls were conducted by Bugwak TV Vloggers in Butuan City, Gingoog, Misamis Oriental, and Surigao City. It said that Marcos is the favorite presidential candidate of the working class.
In the said localities, the vloggers toured the streets, downtowns, bus terminals, and marketplaces, randomly approaching individuals or crowds and asking them who is their favored presidential candidate.

Nov. 2 — RPMD survey
On Nov. 2, the findings of a poll conducted by the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) were released. Domagoso was cited as the most popular candidate for the 2022 elections, with 25.39 percent of the vote, followed by Marcos with 23.10 percent and Robredo with 18.31 percent.
Pacquiao was ranked fourth with a 17.88 percent approval rating, followed by Lacson at 7.08 percent, Dela Rosa at 3.41 percent, and Ernesto "Ernie" Abella at 0.81 percent.
The remaining 4.02 percent didn't respond or were undecided.

Nov. 12 — Pulso ni PSU survey
The 'Pulso ni PSU' survey was conducted among Pangasinan State University (PSU) students on Nov. 12, with a total of 16,837 randomly selected respondents from different PSU campuses in Pangasinan participating in the Nov. 4 to 6 survey.
Marcos got 64.96 percent of the votes (10,938 votes), Robredo got 9.41 percent (1,585 votes), and Domagoso, 3.44 percent (580 votes).
Senators Pacquiao, Lacson, Dela Rosa, and Poe, as well as Duterte-Carpio, were among the other Presidential aspirants named in the poll. Except for Poe, all received 1.28 percent (215 votes).

Nov. 15 — SWS survey results
A presidential poll conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) released on Nov. 15 found Marcos in the lead with 47 percent of the votes, with Robredo getting 18 percent, followed by Domagoso with 13 percent, Pacquiao with 9 percent, and Lacson and Dela Rosa with 5 percent.
The SWS did not disclose the number of participants who took part in the survey, but it did reveal that three percent of them were still undecided.
Nov. 16 — Kalye Survey in Cebu
Based on a 16-part Kalye survey conducted by Cebu vloggers, Marcos came out on top in the presidential poll in Cebu.
In surveys done by vlogger Isla de Olango and his wife in different cities and municipalities in Cebu from Oct. 14 to Nov. 11, Marcos senator came out on top with 754 votes.
Marcos was followed by Pacquiao with 210 votes, and Domagoso with 121 votes. Robredo got 103 votes, followed by Lacson (29), Dela Rosa (29). There were 357 undecided voters.

Nov. 19 — Publicus Asia survey
Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte emerged as the top presidential and vice presidential picks, respectively, in an independent and non-commissioned Publicus Asia survey that was on Nov. 19.
Publicus Asia gathered 1,500 respondents from the country's approximately 200,000 registered voters for the 2021 Pahayag Final List survey, which was conducted after the substitution deadline of Nov. 16 to 18.
Marcos received 56.7 percent of the overall vote in the poll.
Robredo got 15.4 percent, followed by Domagoso with 6.9 percent, and Senator Christopher "Bong" Go, who filed his presidency on Nov. 13 after Dela Rosa withdrew from the race. Go got 4.1 percent of the voter preference.

Nov. 22 —Manila Bulletin online survey
Presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. led the latest presidential survey conducted by the Manila Bulletin through its Facebook and website platforms from Nov. 19 to 21. Marcos collected 53.4 percent from the Facebook results, and 55.4 percent from the MB website results.
However, in the Manila Bulletin’s Twitter survey conducted in the same period, Robredo got 49 percent while Marcos had 41 percent, De Guzman, 5 percent, Lacson, 2 percen, Go, 2 percent, Moreno, 1 percent, and Pacquiao, 1 percent.
In Manila Bulletin’s first survey conducted in October, VP Leni Robredo led with 4.18 percent while Marcos collected 41.3 percent.
In the November survey of Manila Bulletin, Robredo recorded 19.8 percent of the survey votes on Facebook and 34.9 percent on the MB website.
Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko" Moreno had 22.7 percent of the survey votes on Facebook and 3.6 percent on the MB website.
The results for the other presidential candidates in MB’s Facebook survey: Sen. Bong Go, 3.2 percent; Leody de Guzman, 0.4 percent; Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, 0.3 percent; and Sen. Manny Pacquiao, 0.2 percent.
In the MB website survey, Go had 3.2 percent; Lacson, 1.6 percent, Pacquiao, 0.7 percent, and De Guzman, 0.6 percent.
The Manila Bulletin survey gathered 671,000 respondents — the MB website survey had 15,669 respondents while the Twitter poll had 101,248.
The survey required each respondent to have a Gmail account and could only vote once.
