Willy Revillame apologized for his uncalled for comment on Cory’s cortege eating into Wowowee primetime slot. Even a media mega star stands aside at the nation’s adulation of a real-life heroine.

Willy, come back, all is forgiven.

* * *

It isn’t for Congress to declare Rizal, our founding fathers, or Cory as national hero. The public outcry and our history books have placed them on the pantheon.

* * *

If a hero, Ninoy, is on R500 bill, would adding a heroine, Cory, deserve a higher circulation currency (meaning a lower denomination)? This throws into question the order of precedence of heroes and Presidents in Philippine banknotes.

* * *

Cory deserves her place. Ninoy, too. Together, even more so. But Sen. Dick Gordon’s call for sobriety makes sense.

Uninvited Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago thinks that too many crooks spoil the broth.

* * *

Cory honor guards Fab Four put to shame the Buckingham guards. They also ought to be in the Guiness Book for most life-like statues… or for gallantry in inaction.

“They also serve who only stand and wait…”

Mayor Afredo Lim commends “Justice on Wheel's by Supreme Court and judges for quick disposition of cases resulting in release of 637 male inmates and 80 female inmates from the City Jail.

The Professional Regulation Commission sets exams for Filipinos abroad for some 300 Filipino professionals working in the Middle East to make them become more competitive job candidates.

“Exams on Wheels.”

Bea Alonzo almost ruptured Sam Milby’s eardrum by slapping his face too hard in a scene in the forthcoming film, “And I Love You

So.” Next time, just whisper sweet nothings…

A Gawad Kalinga housing project will soon rise on a five-hectare lot in Barangay Payawan, Ifugao.

Baby, you’ve come home!
