'More Than Blue' makes it big on Netflix, theme songs go viral

“More Than Blue” recently landed at the number one slot on the ‘Top 10 Movies in the Philippines Today’ list of Netflix.

The JC Santos, Yassi Pressman-starrer bounced back big the popular movie streaming platform last weekend and is now the most watched Pinoy flick on Netflix.

The songs that figured heavily in the movie are also surging on streaming platforms.

Namely, Edsel nd Hans Foronda's take on the Southborder classic “Kahit Kailan.”

Ditto for Bandang Lapis’ acoustic version of their hit “Kabilang Buhay” that also features Lyca Gairanod.

But it is Marion Aunor who’s really reeling in the streams with two of her original songs, “Kung Pwede Lang” and “Maghihintay.” 

"Maghihintay broke into Spotify’s Viral 50 – Philippines listing just this week.

Marion Aunor, who also stars in the film, specifically wrote “Maghihintay” for “More Than Blue.”
