Ozzy Osbourne retires from touring

Heavy Metal icon Ozzy Osbourne is retiring from touring.

The 74-year-old made the announcement via social media explaining he is physically unable to meet the grueling demands of touring.

“This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans,” Osbourne posted on Instagram.

There he clarified that while his “singing voice is fine,” the operations and treatments the singer has had over the last four years to correct his spine injury was not enough and that he is still “physically weak.”

“I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required. Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really F—KS ME UP, more than you will ever know,” Osbourne wrote.

“Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way."

The rock icon, known for his work with Black Sabbath apart from his own legendary solo career, said that his team are working on finding ways for him to continue singing live “without having to travel city to city and country to country.”

“I want to thank my family, my band, my crew, my longtime friends @Judas Priest and of course my fans for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never ever dreamed I would have. I love you all."
