Some people are quizzical about Vice Ganda’s new title, Queen of All Networks. That now spans channels 2, 5 and 7, where Vice’s programs can be viewed daily. The high visibility factor puts her on equal footing with Korina Sanchez, whose shows are just about everywhere that can be accessed with a remote control, including Net 25.
To be fair, it wasn’t Ms. Ganda’s camp that floated the idea. The coinage itself came from the mouth of business tycoon Manny V. Pangilinan, who said so during their joint contract signing August 12 at Meralco’s penthouse lounge, Light House.
Vice has just entered into a content-production deal with TV5 and its other platforms. She said she may have been on TV for many years, yet she still hungers for ideas to create. The passion has intensified, she said, no matter if she has been there, done that. “I feel I still have a lot to give. There are nights I can’t sleep, tossing up and down my bed as I wrestle with ideas percolating everywhere,” he said. Vice advised her followers to watch out for her new outputs on TV5 and its related platforms, including digital media.
As to the new title resting on her hair, how does it compare to Kris Aquino’s Queen of All Media? Queen of All Networks or Queen of All Media? Choose your pick.
By the way, we’re among those gladdened by Kris’ forthcoming comeback on TV via Netflix, no less. It isn’t clear to us exactly what to expect at this point. Here’s hoping Kris recovers her health fully. Like I always said, Kris is one of my favorite TV interviewers.

Following their trending beach wedding in March this year, Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles look forward to starting a family in 2027. The couple are rushing parenthood as Kim is already in her 30s.
Jerald says it’s the best time to parent a child while there are so many opportunities waiting at their doorstep.
“We can give them endless servings of Japanese set meals at Botejyu,” he laughs.

Kim and Jerald were formally introduced August 13 as a power couple and brand ambassadors of Botejyu Philippines, tasked to promote Teishoku set-meal campaign. It marks their first major joint endorsement together.
I asked them the first question. Did you imagine such a deal, or this day, would ever come?
Both said they didn’t see it coming. Theater was their only world then, and advertisers didn’t really look their way. Instead, they were more focused on glamourous stars. But, as luck would have it, talent fetched them stardom in a series of comedy films that surprisingly made money for Viva Films.
Jerald’s last movie, "Love, Ngo" was a box-office hit.
Come August 26, a new comedy film of his, “Ang Pinakamasarap na Pares sa Balat ng Lupa,” in tandem with Pepe Herrera, opens in cinemas nationwide.
