Soon, that routine will change. Beginning July 21, Starbucks Philippines is rolling out a refreshed Starbucks Rewards program alongside an all-new Starbucks PH app, giving members more flexibility in how and when they redeem their Stars. Instead of automatically converting every 100 Stars into the same reward voucher, members will be able to choose from different redemption tiers depending on what they're craving that day.
The biggest difference is choice. Under the new system, rewards begin at 50 Stars. Members can use them for a drink customization, excluding breve and 2-ounce heavy cream, or redeem them for select bakery favorites such as a bagel, a glazed or chocolate-dipped doughnut, or a slice of banana loaf. At 100 Stars, rewards expand to include handcrafted beverages or bakery items, while 150 Stars can be exchanged for heartier options such as sandwiches, pasta, or cake slices.
It's a subtle shift, but one that gives customers greater control over how they use the points they've earned. Someone stopping in for breakfast might choose a bagel instead of saving for a beverage, while another customer may prefer to use Stars to customize a favorite coffee.
Supporting the updated rewards system is the new Starbucks PH app, which becomes available on the App Store and Google Play beginning July 21. The app introduces faster sign-in and real-time Star tracking, making it easier for members to keep tabs on their rewards. Mobile Order and Pay, however, will be temporarily unavailable at launch and is expected to return in a future update.

Existing Starbucks Rewards members won't need to create a new account. Login credentials, stored balance, and accumulated Stars will automatically transfer to the new app, allowing members to pick up where they left off. Reward vouchers will continue to be valid for 90 days after redemption, while Stars that have not been converted into vouchers will still expire one year after they are earned, based on the member's anniversary date.
The updated program also changes when the 90-day countdown begins. Under the previous system, vouchers were issued automatically after reaching 100 Stars. Now, members decide when to convert their Stars into a reward, giving them more control over when the voucher's validity starts.
For Starbucks Philippines, the changes reflect a move toward a more personalized rewards experience. Rather than steering every customer toward the same prize, the program now offers several ways to enjoy the benefits of loyalty, whether that's a customized latte, a pastry with morning coffee, or a quick lunch between meetings.
