Actor Gardo Versoza recently visited the "Alahera of the Stars" Charo Cordial for a special mission: to get a new set of wedding rings for him and his wife, Ivy. (may pasingsing ulit?!) Years ago, he promised Ivy that he would replace their simple rings with better designs and greater value. (yung nakakaangat-angat sa buhay level daw!)
"Nung ikinasal kasi kami noon sa Las Vegas, yung singsing namin parang sa ano, ng manok. Yung umiikot ikot, yung parang singsing ng manok. Tapos lagi nako hinihiritan ni kumander! Di ko talaga napaghandaan 'yung noon," Gardo shares. (ibabalik na lang sa manok ang mga lumang singsing?!)
While Gardo was choosing from among the wide variety of rings, Charo candidly asked the actor if he had been faithful to his wife all these years. (marites mode on si madame!) Gardo admitted his "Playboy" years while dating Ivy and revealed the secret of his "calendar girls." (may flavor of the month ba?!)
"Dati, meron akong kalendaryo. Di ko nililista at doon ako nabuking ni kumander! Nililista ko doon yung initials ng mga chicks — kung sino yung sa umaga, sa tanghali, at sa gabi. Pati siya, may initials dun!" Gardo narrates. (ilang artista kaya ang may initials doon?!)
His cheating spree was eventually put to an end. "Nung una, di siya sure, pero nahuli niya kasi na-confirm niya na pati siya, siya ang may initials dun. Doon natapos ang aking Morse code sa Chinese calendar!" (di gumana ang feng shui!)
It was true love that made their relationship stronger: "Naging buong buo pa rin yung tiwala nya sakin, kahit hindi ako katiwa tiwala (laughs)" (iba kamandag ni Machete!)
He has this to say to the young generation: "Wag padalos dalos. Siempre pag kabataan sabihin agad love ko e. Di lang basta ganun yun. Mapa lalaki o babae, 'di naman binawalan pumasok sa relasyon; dapat maging responsable." (so sana may mag-give din sa akin ng singsing!)
