Journalists and content creators are visiting tourist attractions in the province of La Union from Feb. 19 to 20 under the Media Agkaysa Ronda for Information Optimization program initiated by Gov. Mario Ortega.
Journalists and content creators from La Union, Pangasinan, and Baguio City are touring key destinations in nine municipalities in the first district.
The first day kicked off in Sudipen with a visit to Top Allan’s, known for its breathtaking sea of clouds, cool mountain breeze, and panoramic sunrise views. While in Sudipen, they witnessed bamboo bag weaving, the town’s One Town, One Product.
In Bangar, they visited traditional loom weaving and well-known pancit mami noodle-making industry.
Nature tourism was featured in Santol through Simminublan Falls while Luna and Balaoan presented upgraded tourism facilities and community-based attractions.
Local government units warmly welcomed the media delegation in every stop, with municipal tourism officers assisting throughout the tour, alongside the staff of the Provincial Information Office who coordinated the province-wide initiative.
The Media Agkaysa Ronda aims to strengthen information campaigns and position La Union’s first district as a rising tourism hub in Northern Luzon.
On the second day, the delegation will visit San Gabriel, San Juan, Bacnotan, and San Fernando City.
