Three officials of the Department of Justice (DOJ) have been conferred officer ranks as members of the executive squadron of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA).
DOJ Undersecretary Jesse Hermogenes T. Andres and Assistant Secretary Eliseo D.C. Cruz were conferred auxiliary rear admirals while Planning and Management Service (PMS) Director Vanya Ysabel M. Maneja-Kharazmi was given the rank of auxiliary commodore.
The donning and oath-taking were held last May 12 at the PCG headquarters in Manila
DOJ officials Andres and Cruz both oversee the department’s Law Enforcement Cluster that conducted the Training and Educational Program for Law Enforcement Officers (TEPLEO) that was participated by about 200 PCG officers and personnel. Director Kharazmi is also among the main implementers of the TEPLEO.
PCG Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil L. Gavan expressed gratitude to the DOJ officials “for their commitment to supporting the Coast Guard in fulfilling their mandate through the training program, a testament to the stronger ties and collaboration between the DOJ and the PCG aimed to maintain peace, order and security in the country.”
“This year, the DOJ is set to continue its support to the PCG and other law enforcement agencies through the Training and Educational Program for DOJ Prosecutors and Law Enforcement Agents (TEPLEA) in an effort to solidify the government's collaboration efforts towards the efficient administration of justice in line with the Bagong Pilipinas brand of leadership under the administration of His Excellency Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.,” the DOJ said in a statement.
