The stunt, which was uploaded on social media, saw the vlogger, known as Boss LB, crawling in the middle of the road mimicking a snail. The man was wearing a costume that made him look like a snail.
The stunt caused heavy traffic as a passenger multicabs slowed down to avoid running over the vlogger.
The original video has garnered over 18,700 reactions and was shared more than 15,000 times as of posting time.
The Highway Patrol Group-Central Visayas (HPG-7) is recommending filing cases against the vlogger because of the incident.
The vlogger appeared before the Consolacion Police Station on Monday, March 10, to apologize. He also issued a public apology through a video posted on his social media page.
But HPG-7 head Police Col. Wilbert Parilla said charges will still be filed against Boss LB despite the apology.
“I have no problem with the apology. That is already taken. But we have already given warnings before that they must be responsible for the vlog that they will be making,” Parilla said.
Parilla said their legal team has been directed to determine what national or local laws the vlogger has violated.
He said they are taking the incident seriously as the vlogger did not only risk his life but also that of motorists.
“This will serve as a final warning to anybody who will make social media content that will cause disruption and danger to the lives of other people,” Parilla said.
