Pasay main roads passable despite red rainfall warning

Major roads in Pasay City remained passable to all vehicles Saturday, Aug. 29,  despite flooding in several areas, as Metro Manila stayed under a red rainfall warning.
Mayor Emi Calixto‑Rubiano ordered disaster and traffic personnel to monitor road conditions and provide timely assistance to motorists and commuters as heavy rains continued.
City officials reported that key thoroughfares were generally flood‑free, keeping major routes open.
Gutter‑deep flooding was observed along Menlo‑Donada‑Fresno, Aurora Boulevard, Andrews Avenue toward Roxas Boulevard, Vergel‑Zamora, and the EDSA‑Roxas Boulevard stretch heading to Manila.
Authorities said the affected roads remained open, but Rubiano urged motorists to drive with caution, especially in areas where water had pooled.
The city government continued monitoring flood‑prone zones as the red rainfall warning remained in effect.
For traffic assistance, motorists may contact the Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office at 8889‑0218 or 8252‑3846.
For emergencies and disaster concerns, the Pasay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office may be reached through the trunkline 888‑PASAY (72729), locals 1371–1373, or via 0905‑493‑9111, 8551‑7777, and 8833‑8512.
