ALAMINOS CITY, Pangasinan — Police personnel here, together with disaster responders, conducted a search, rescue and evacuation operation on August 17 following heavy flooding that affected several communities in the city.
The operation was led by the Alaminos City Police Station under Lt. Col. Jan Ringgo R. Quintinita, in coordination with the Alaminos City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (Alaminos-DRRMO) and other disaster response teams.
Residents were assisted in evacuating to safer areas, with particular attention given to children, senior citizens and other vulnerable individuals.
The coordinated operation was carried out to ensure the safe and orderly movement of residents as floodwaters affected parts of the city.
The Alaminos City Police Station said it remains committed to providing immediate and responsive assistance during emergencies and disasters.
Authorities appealed to residents to remain alert, and prioritize their safety.
