Derek Ramsay breaks silence on LTO fake plate probe: 'I will cooperate'

Derek Ramsay breaks his silence on the LTO probe involving a supercar with an allegedly fake plate and says he is ready to cooperate with authorities.

Derek Ramsay has broken his silence on the Land Transportation Office (LTO) investigation involving a supercar allegedly found using a fake license plate.

The actor addressed the issue via Instagram, saying he was aware of the LTO probe.

He went on to clarify that he does not drive vehicles with fake plates.

"All my vehicles have proper plates," he said.

Although he has yet to receive a show-cause order from the agency, Ramsay maintained he is prepared to cooperate once formally asked.

"I will cooperate and appear when requested," he said.

"Driving with fake plates is wrong and should not be tolerated," Ramsay added, apologizing to the LTO over the situation.

The LTO's initial findings indicate that Ramsay had allegedly sold the vehicle to a businessman. However, the car had not yet been transferred to the buyer's name, leaving Ramsay listed as its registered owner in the agency's records.

Because his name remains attached to the vehicle's registration, Ramsay has been included among those required to appear before the LTO and explain the circumstances surrounding the car.

He is expected to appear before the agency on August 24.
