Vice Ganda remains absent from 'It's Showtime' amid ongoing scrutiny over on-air controversy

Vice Ganda remains absent from "It's Showtime" days after the show's producers met with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) over complaints stemming from a controversial segment on the program.

The comedian has not appeared on the noontime show since July 28, prompting continued discussion among viewers, particularly as the issue involving his on-air remarks and actions remains a topic of public debate.

Note that program management has already denied specualtion that Vice Ganda was suspended, saying the host is simply on vacation.

That said, it has not disclosed when he is expected to return.

The timing of his absence has drawn attention from fans and critics, with some questioning his decision to step away while the show faces scrutiny over the incident.

The MTRCB earlier met with the producers of "It's Showtime" and asked the program to respond to the complaints.

The regulator has yet to announce any action.
