Ate Gay gives health update after doctors discover lump near her neck
Ate Gay revealed that she is undergoing another round of treatment after doctors discovered a new lump on her neck, marking another challenge in her ongoing battle with stage 4 mucoepidermoid carcinoma.
On Facebook, the comedian shared that the lump was found below her neck, near her shoulder, and was immediately treated through CyberKnife.
“Nakitaan ako ng bukol sa ibaba ng leeg ko malapit sa balikat na agad nila inagapan gamit ang CYBERKNIFE 1 (5 sessions),” he wrote.
CyberKnife treatment is a non-invasive procedure used to treat cancerous and non-cancerous tumors, as well as other conditions that require radiation therapy.
The comedian also shared photos from the hospital and thanked the doctors, whom she called her “angels,” for taking care of her during the treatment. Despite the latest health setback, Ate Gay remained positive, smiling and posing for some of the pictures.
She also assured her supporters that her condition would not stop her from continuing to do what she loves.
“Di naman maapektuhan ang energy ko dahil dito, pinapayagan nila ako mag-perform ng bonggang-bongga,” he added.
Just last month, Ate Gay said that she no longer had lumps on her neck following her MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging).
Ate Gay first revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer during an interview with Jessica Soho in September 2025, where she candidly spoke about the emotional weight of the diagnosis.
Since revealing her diagnosis, Ate Gay has received an outpouring of support from fellow celebrities and fans, giving her the strength to keep fighting. She has also shared on social media that her faith and prayers continue to help her through her battle with cancer.
