Kris Bernal is one of many celebrities with a penchant for luxury bags and fine jewelry. (Baka may sobra ka diyan, girl!)

So it wasn't surprising to spot her shopping at "Celebrity Alahera" Charo Cordial's shop. (Bet ko ma-surprise ng diamonds!)

While browsing for jewelry, Kris opened up to Charo about her showbiz journey, from being a leading lady to accepting kontrabida roles.

"For me, mentally mahirap siya. Parang naisip ko, teka lang, bida ako dati ah. Bakit hinihilera na nila ako sa kontrabida? Nalalaos na ba ako? Hindi na ba ako magaling umarte?" Kris admitted. (Basta ako, magaling mag-inarte!)

Eventually, she realized that her love for acting mattered more than the size of the role.

"Out of passion nga pala yung ginagawa ko. Kahit anong role ang ibigay sa akin, basta umaarte ako, masaya ako," she said. (Basta if di mo bet, ibato mo sa'kin!)

Months ago, netizens bashed her for having household helpers in uniforms. (Ilang netizens talaga pakialamera!)

"Choice nila yun. May iba ngang ayaw, kaya hindi namin binibigyan. Pero may mga gusto kasi mas komportable at hindi na nila iniisip kung ano ang isusuot nila araw-araw," Kris explains. (Isyu talaga ang uniform?! Marangal na trabaho yan. Maraming trabaho kailangan may uniform!)

The Kapuso talent is now enjoying her married life but Charo couldnt resist her curiosity about what is the real score between Kris and her former on screen partner Aljur Abrenica. (ay major flashback ito but, no! akin si Papa Aljur!)

"Nag-try kami nung peak ng career namin. Pero hindi nag-work. Wala akong naramdamang love, parang tropa lang talaga," she said. (Basta ako jojowain, hindi totropahin!)

For Kris, she may not have achieved superstar status but her showbiz gigs will always be a blessing.
