Makati cops identify person linked to online threat; assure school safety
The Makati City Police Station on Saturday, July 4, said it had identified the individual linked to the recent online threat against one of the city's schools and reaffirmed that the safety of students, teachers, and school personnel remains its top priority.

Police did not disclose the identity of the individual but said the person is now under the direct oversight of the relevant authorities.
They also assured the public that comprehensive security measures have been implemented with local schools and the support of the Makati City government to protect students, teachers, and school personnel.
“We want to reassure all parents, guardians, and members of the school community that the safety and well-being of our enthusiastic learners is our utmost priority,” it said.
“We urge parents and guardians not to panic. Your children are safe,” authorities assured.
On Sunday, July 5, the local government said it will continue to work hand in hand with the Philippine National Police and with schools to maintain a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment for all.
Authorities said they are working with school administrators to closely monitor the situation while maintaining normal academic operations.
“Our commitment remains strong in fostering a culture of preparedness through ongoing partnerships with educational institutions and the broader community, aimed at creating a safer and more resilient learning environment,” they said.
