James Blanco values his privacy too much that he admitted to being deeply hurt when his son, Iñigo Jose, revealed on "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" that he and his wife, Tania Creighton, had separated.
James is one actor who has maintained his life outside of the industry private. Turns out that the actor has been estranged from his children for some time.
Then again, the actor should know better. Being on "PBB" spreads open the inner lives of people and intimate revelations made by housemates is considered part of the journey.
While James and others like him prefer to keep their private life low-key, they can become accidental victims in the game of public execution. Such is the downside of reality TV, which, unfortunately, is today’s pervading trend.
The issue boils down to the question: How much must an aspiring artist, or anyone for that matter, expose of himself or his family when taking part in a reality show? Is a person liable when he speaks out on the private or secret life of a family member, relative, friend or even an acquaintance? How much more voyeurism does "PBB" want to serve to its audience?
The overnight rise to stardom, if only momentary, of "PBB" winners or graduates speaks much of audiences’ taste for voyeurism. Today’s media, especially social media, serves it with wild abandon, resulting in moral erosion and lack of respect for traditional values that our society needs to restore badly.

Kim Chiu is being crucified on social media for a simple, innocent remark she made on "It’s Showtime."
Upon seeing a contestant enter frame, she shrieked that the lady in white resembled Ryza Mae, the bright-eyed former child actress who’s making a comeback on "Eat Bulaga."
Kim didn’t mean any harm. She was just being spontaneous as a TV host.

Kathryn Bernardo
Changing partners: Kathryn Bernardo teams up with James Reid in the new ABS-CBN and TV5 series, "Someone, Someday." James’ ex, Nadine Lustre, hooks up with Alden Richards in the upcoming Viu series, "Love, Siargao."
In keeping with this theme, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano are also separating in their forthcoming projects after scoring another movie hit in "Tayo sa Wakas."
People are now clamoring for a Kathryn-Donny movie. Yes, why not? Way to go to stir up renewed interest in our stars.
