I met social media personality Camille Postolero through her broadcaster husband, Jigo Postolero. (Pero hindi naging kami ni Jigo ha!) I used to work with Jigo in a news organization. (Na as of now, gusto ko nang kalimutan!)
Camille has been serving as executive producer of several DZMM news programs for years now. While the couple remains busy fulfilling their duties in their respective news departments, they still make time to pursue their passion for acting through various streaming platforms. (Pang-FAMAS ang aktingan!)
“Acting has been my passion since my college days, but life took me on a detour when I graduated and built a career in the news department. While working my regular job, I unexpectedly got invited to do a small role for TBON Manila. It’s actually a funny story. During the shoot, they were short on female talents, and the scene required someone to pick a fight with Jigo. Given my energy, that was incredibly easy for me! I had so much fun on set that day, and it completely reignited my love for the craft. After that, I just kept showing up to shoots, and the rest is history,” Camille recalls. (Mukhang sinapok si Jigo sa eksena ha!)
Their growing fan base inspired them to expand their presence online.
“It actually started during the pandemic. We saw how much small food business owners were struggling, and we wanted to use our platform to help them showcase their products on social media. Our very first content concept was a segment called ‘Tikiman,’ where we would feature and review dishes from different local vendors. What started as a pandemic passion project to support our community eventually evolved into the digital space we have today,” she shares. (Ibang tikiman ang bet ko!)
Today, Camille is producing her own short dramas on her Facebook fan page. (Bilyon ha, hindi milyon!)
“What fulfills me the most is the ability to share authentic, family-centered stories that have now amassed billions of views collectively. It’s proof that social media can be a powerful force for personal growth, positive values, and meaningful social impact,” Camille says. (Nag-cameo na ako d'yan. Buti hindi pa-sexy ang role ha!)
With the success of adult-oriented content on social media, Camille remains determined to use her platform to promote family values and positivity instead. I witnessed her dedication firsthand when I accompanied my friend Zee Luistro, who appeared in several videos as an actor for her productions. (Kinukuha nga akong bida sabi ko, next time. Charot!)
“What sets our creations apart, especially working under the brilliant direction of Rigor Dumlao, is our unwavering commitment to creating content that uplifts rather than merely entertains. Every story we put out carries lessons about character, compassion, resilience, and making the right choices. Whether we are portraying the raw realities of family life, friendships, personal struggles, or workplace dynamics, we aim to transform everyday situations into opportunities for reflection, learning, and life-changing moments for our viewers,” Camille shares. (Ay, pang-Catholic Mass Media Awards pala ito!)
The AB Mass Communication graduate of Trinity University of Asia continues to dream big for her online journey.
“My ultimate dream project is to take our storytelling to the international stage and produce high-quality vertical content outside the country,” she says. (Ay, join na ako pag international na ha!)
