235 students receive school supplies, shoes from Rizal PPO
A total of 235 elementary students received school supplies, shoes, and slippers from the Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) under its “Isang Pulis, Isang Lapis, May Kuwaderno at Papel Pa” program ahead of the nationwide opening of classes on June 8.
The distribution was conducted on June 5 at the Rizal PPO Covered Court in Barangay Dolores, Taytay, Rizal, as part of the Rizal PPO's “Brotherly Love” project. It was led by the Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit (PCADU), in coordination with the 14 municipal and city police stations and the Provincial Mobile Force Company.
The program's beneficiaries were Grades 1 to 6 students from various schools across the province. They were selected in coordination with DepEd-Rizal, with priority given to students in need.
Through contributions from police personnel across Rizal, as well as donations from private individuals, funds were raised to provide students with essential school supplies, helping ease the financial burden of school-related expenses on their families.
During the program, the beneficiaries not only received school supplies, shoes, and slippers, but were also given tumblers and treated to free taho, ice cream, biscuits, and Jollibee meals.
It was attended by representatives from the Department of Education-Rizal Province, private sector partners, PNP officials, and guests of honor, including Johan Sim, president of the Shuta Group of Companies, and Angel Eugenio, chairman of the company.
In his short message, Rizal PPO chief Col. Eleazar R. Barber Jr. emphasized the importance of cooperation among the government, private sector, and communities in supporting the youth and helping secure their future through education.
Barber also thanked the Department of Education-Rizal Province, headed by Dr. Doris DJ. Estalilla, Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd Rizal, as well as private sector partners, members of the Provincial Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development, stakeholders, and other partner agencies and individuals for their support in the implementation of the program.
The “Brotherly Love” project is one of the Rizal Police Provincial Office’s key community initiatives, reflecting the spirit of compassion, unity, and volunteerism among Rizal PNP personnel.
