Rizal PPO launches 'Project PHILEO' to help students with educational, moral support

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) on Tuesday, Dec. 16, under the leadership of Col. Feloteo A. Gonzalgo, launched Project “PHILEO” (Brotherly Love), aimed at providing underprivileged elementary students in the province with guidance, support, and assistance, especially in their education.

As part of the program, a ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was held between the Rizal PNP and its partner agencies: DepEd–Rizal, Provincial Life Coaches/Pastors, LGUs, and the Provincial Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (PAGPTD).
The Rizal PPO said the MOA demonstrates strong collaboration among partners in implementing and sustaining programs that address students’ needs and serve as the foundation for a collective advocacy to strengthen education, discipline, and values formation among the youth in the province.
Aside from education, Project PHILEO also aims to provide students with support in their moral development and overall well-being. It also serves as a bridge uniting various sectors to help children who need additional attention and mentorship.
Dr. Doris DJ Estalilla, Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd–Rizal, highlighted the need for the community, church, government, and police to work together in shaping children’s future.
Estalilla said programs like Project PHILEO are important to make sure no child is left behind in education and guidance.
“Sa pamamagitan ng Project PHILEO, muling pinagtitibay ng Rizal PPO at ng mga katuwang nitong ahensya ang kanilang paninindigan na hindi lamang pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at kaayusan ang kanilang layunin, kundi pati na rin ang aktibong pakikilahok sa paglinang ng isang responsable, edukado, at makataong henerasyon (Through Project PHILEO, the Rizal PPO and its partner agencies reaffirm their commitment not only to maintaining peace and order but also to actively participating in nurturing a responsible, educated, and compassionate generation),” the Rizal PPO said.
