French cuisine takes over once again at The Manila Hotel as the historic property joins the worldwide celebration of Goût de France 2026 with a specially curated dining experience at the hotel’s Champagne Room.
Available until May 31, the limited-time set menu highlights classic French flavors interpreted through the hotel’s signature fine dining style. The culinary offering is led by Executive Chef Konrad Walter and The Manila Hotel’s kitchen team, presenting a progression of dishes rooted in traditional French cuisine.
The meal begins with Puy Lentil Salad with Smoked Duck Breast, followed by Three Onion Soup topped with a brie crouton. For the main course, diners may enjoy Roast Rack of Lamb in Herb Crust served with rosemary garlic jus, gratin potato, and market vegetables.

Dessert rounds out the experience with a selection of French cheese, Apple Tart with Frangipane, French macarons, and coffee or tea.
Held annually, Goût de France is an international initiative that honors French gastronomy through participating restaurants and hotels around the world. This year’s celebration also extended beyond the dining table for The Manila Hotel, whose representatives joined the Course des Garçons de Café, or Waiter’s Race, during the “Makati Street Meet presents Goût de France” event held on May 17.

Champagne Room representatives Alfonso Punzalan and Lexter Guanzon placed second and third, respectively, during the competition. The event was attended by Marie Fontanel.
“At The Manila Hotel, we honor global culinary traditions. Our yearly participation in Goût de France reflect our commitment to creating meaningful experiences that connect culture, cuisine, and community,” said Marvin Kim Tan, vice president for sales and marketing of The Manila Hotel.
Known as one of the country’s long-standing fine dining venues, the Champagne Room continues to serve as the hotel’s stage for European-inspired cuisine and formal dining traditions, making it a fitting setting for this year’s Goût de France celebration.
