CEBU CITY – Two brothers and their cousin were arrested in a drug den raid in Barangay Quiot here on Monday night, May 18.
Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA-7) arrested Adrian, 25, his 21-year-old brother Marvin, and Ryan, 21.
PDEA-7 Regional Director Joel Plaza said Adrian was the maintainer of the suspected drug den while Marvin served as accomplice.
Ryan was caught visiting the drug den when PDEA-7 agents swooped in.
Leia Alcantara, spokesperson of PDEA-7, said Ryan was arrested in 2023 for illegal drug charges.
Alcantara said that based on monitoring, Adrian was selling 15 to 20 grams of shabu a week.
It took a two-week case buildup before the suspects were cornered, Alcantara said.
Alcantara said selling of dangerous drugs and maintenance of a drug den carry the maximum penalty of life imprisonment and up to P10 million in fine.
A person caught visiting a drug den may face imprisonment of up to 20 years and a fine of up to P500,000, Alcantara added.
