Warehouse in Cebu City robbed; caretaker killed

CEBU CITY – Two men were arrested for robbing a warehouse and killing its caretaker in Barangay Guadalupe here on Wednesday morning, May 13.
Police said robbery with homicide cases were filed against Jayson, a 30-year-old resident of Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City, and 37-year-old Rocky, a resident of Barangay Calamba, Cebu City.
Police said the suspects broke into the warehouse to steal metal pipes and wires.
Renboy, the 19-year-old caretaker, spotted and reprimanded the suspects but was hit with a piece of wood in the neck and head. The victim and the suspects fled. The victim was found lifeless inside the warehouse by a co-worker at 5 p.m.
The incident was reported to the Guadalupe Police Station, which conducted a follow-up operation that led to the suspects’ arrest.
